The precept is the Parish Council’s share of the council tax. The Parish Council incurs expenditure and raises income in order to provide its services.
This year, there will be an increase in the annual precept charged and applied to your council tax. Apart from increased administration costs, the three main items of additional expenditure will enhance the facilities and services provided to our community:
- Continued provision of a weekly youth club,
- Investing in new play & fitness equipment,
- Purchasing a speed indicator device (SID) for safer streets.
This equates to an annual charge of £127.57 for a Band D property (around £2.45 per week).
